Gordon Seniors

The Gordon Junior Rugby Club’s big brother side is The Gordon Rugby Football Club, often referred to as The Highlanders. Together our two clubs form “The Heart and Home of North Shore Rugby”.

The Highlanders play in The Intrust Super Shute Shield which is the premier grade rugby trophy in NSW and was struck in honour of the late Robert Elliott Stewart Shute.

NSW Premiership Rugby is contested in Sydney across four senior grades and three colts competitions between 12 clubs: Eastern Suburbs, Eastwood, Gordon, Manly, Northern Suburbs, Parramatta, Penrith, Randwick, Southern Districts, Sydney University, Warringah and West Harbour.

Each year the Gordon Highlanders swap the famous Tartan jersey to honour their heritage back to the eight Gordon Village clubs that make up Gordon Juniors (see image left). In honour of their junior club heritage they wear a Harlequins inspired jersey incorporating the colours of our eight village clubs.

The Gordon Rugby Foundation was dissolved and replaced with the Friends of Gordon Foundation in 2021.

To ensure Gordon Rugby is competitive and financially strong, providing the environment and culture which enables continued success at all levels, well into the future.

The Foundation cannot do all of this without the generous donations of its Foundation donors.
