Hornsby Junior Rugby Union (HJRU) is based at Waitara Oval and has a proud tradition of fielding teams in competition for over 50 years although records exist of rugby being played in the district over 100 years ago.

HJRU is unashamedly a participation club. By that, we mean we welcome players of all standards. We actively ensure that players receive equal time.

With a brand new licensed club house, HJRU has a vibrant social environment for families & parents. Our regular social nights and the fabulous Red, Black & Gold Ball provide plenty of opportunity for interaction. The club is also active in the local community, having participated in the Anzac Day Dawn Service for many years.

We actively welcome any girls or boys looking for a safe & fun environment. We also have an enthusiastic (if not talented) Golden Oldies team so you can literally play with us from the age of 6 to 60!
