About Girls Rugby
At Gordon Junior Rugby Club, girls can play as part of a variety of teams at both the village club level and the representative level, including in mixed-gender XV's and Girls 7's.
Club & State XV
Girls from 6-18 years of age can play Junior Club Rugby with any of our eight village clubs and participate in mixed-gender XV modified competitions.
From Under 10s to Under 15s, girls can also compete alongside boys for the honour of representing our District at State Championships as well as a playing in a female only XV’s side in State Championships which is normally held over June long weekend.
For teenage girls between the ages of 10 and 18, we have established a local pathway program for girls wishing to continue to play 7s Rugby. A fun, fast and exciting game, Sevens is being embraced by all ages and abilities. A number of pathways have been developed offering girls the opportunity to play socially and at representative level.
In 2014 the Gordon District established our very own Gordon Girls 7 program. We offer girls aged 10 to 18 the opportunity to play and compete in either an;

- Under 16s
- Under 18s
Support & Coaching
Gordon are very committed to investing and developing female rugby and now partnered with Try Time Rugby to bring professional coaches in support our coaching teams as well as the girls themselves. Gordon Junior’s have a very strong bond with Gordon Seniors and are proud to have a number of senior Gordon women as part of Gordon Girls Coaching and Leadership team.
