Girls Rugby at Gordon

Within the Gordon District there are a number of opportunities for girls to get involved with playing rugby.

Junior Rugby is a game for all and girls from 6 years up to 12 years of age can play junior club rugby with anyone of our eight village clubs and participate in mixed gender XV a side modified competitions. From the age of Under 10s through Under 12s, girls can compete alongside boys for the honour of representing our District at State Championships.

For teenage girls between the ages of 10 and 18, we have established a local pathway program for girls wishing to continue to play 7s Rugby. A fun, fast and exciting game, Sevens is being embraced by all ages and abilities. A number of pathways have been developed offering girls the opportunity to play socially and at representative level.

In 2014 the Gordon District established our very own Gordon Girls 7 program. In 2017 we offer girls aged 10 to 18 the opportunity to play and compete in either an;

  • Under 10s - born 2007 and 2008

  • Under 16s - born 2001 and 2002
