Gordon District Barbarians

The Barbarian Football Club is a rugby union rugby team usually referred to as ‘the Barbarians’ (nicknamed the ‘Baa-Baas’) and is an invitational team based in Britain. The Barbarians play in traditional black and white hoops, though players retain the socks from their ‘home’ club strip.

Worldwide, many invitational clubs are based on the Barbarian Football Club concept and now our very own  Gordon District Barbarians draw on this long held tradition.

The Gordon District Barbarians are open to Under 17 and Under 18 boys who are registered with one of our eight village clubsThey will play in the newly formed SJRU Opens competition.

The GJRU Barbarians will wear this Harlequin styled jersey which incorporates the colours of each of our village clubs.  And just like the real 'Baa Baas', our Barbarians will proudly wear their village club socks.

Training will be arranged at a centrally located venue within our district and is open to every boy, regardless of their village club.  For more information, please contact your village club president.
